Almost half of the UK is on track for pension poverty. And due to the systemic barriers women face throughout their lifetime, the picture for women is even tougher - with a £113k gender pension gap. When it comes to long term financial resilience, we know the barriers women face are different, but the industry has long designed financial experiences with a more traditional mindset.
The result is often products that feel intangible, high on cognitive load, and ultimately inaccessible to huge demographics of our society. And when long-term investment products are crucial to everyone’s financial future, we need to make our digital experiences feel intuitive, simple and empowering for everyone.
So how can we, as female leaders in CX, harness our unique perspectives and experiences, to transform digital propositions from product-focused to user-focused - to truly meet people where they are?
Join Design Lead Lily McNally for an exclusive masterclass about how she transformed the Scottish Widows app to become a truly customer-centric proposition, resulting in a huge increase in engagement and meaningful action. And how she's designing experiences that specifically speak to the barriers women face when it comes to financial independence, resilience and freedom.
This masterclass will help women see how their unique perspectives and experiences have the power to transform digital propositions. Opening up access to, and fostering strong engagement with, huge cohorts of female users who feel anxious and overwhelmed about money.
You will learn:
The systemic barriers women face when it comes to financial resilience and security.
There’s power in our perspective to challenge norms and transform digital propositions to better support female users.
How designing for the mental load (which mostly women carry) can help improve financial outcomes for everyone.
